Rates: Matched to your experience – $75p/hr – $85p/hr

Key Responsibilities:

• Diagnostic fault finding on mechanical, hydraulic and electrical systems on excavators
• Manage breakdown repairs and servicing, major component work
• Complete maintenance reporting as required by our customer
• Be proactive in all preventative maintenance including planning and communicating digger maintenance to site supervisor
• Demonstrate leadership initiative as needed
• Adhere to safety protocols and standards.

Requirements:

• Mobile Plant Technology Trade Certificate or equivalent (Australian Recognised
• Strong experience working on Liebherr 996, 9800, Hitachi Ex3600, EX5500 and CAT 6040 and 6060 at a minimum
• Ability to read hydraulic/electrical schematic
• Ability to make hydraulic hoses from on site crimp machines
• Caterpillar and Cummins engine experience highly regarded
• High experience in breakdown roles, fault finding complex hydraulic / electrical faults
• Valid Drivers Licence
• HRWL – LF, WP (preferred but not essential)
• Minimum of 5 years of experience post-trade qualification in a mining environment working on diggers.
• OEM training (preferred / not essential).
• Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills.
• Commitment to safety and quality workmanship.
